Melbourne Teen Demario Ivey, 15, Tragically Killed in 4th of July ATV Accident
Melbourne, FL — July 4, 2025 — What began as a festive Independence Day outing ended in unimaginable sorrow when 15‑year‑old Demario “D.J.” Ivey lost his life in a devastating ATV accident
A Bright Spark Taken Too Soon
Born on March 12, 2010, Demario was a bundle of energy and joy. Known for his adventurous spirit, he could usually be found exploring off‑road trails on his ATV or mastering tricks on his skateboard. An avid athlete with a keen interest in basketball and football, he earned admiration for both his skill and sportsmanship
Beloved at School and at Home
At school, Demario’s humor and spirited laugh made him stand out. He was quick with a witty comment and always up for a good time with classmates. Teachers praised his curiosity and dedication to learning, while friends felt his loyalty—even in moments of playful rivalry
His family was everything to him. Demario cherished summer cook‑outs, took special care of his younger sister Mia, and shared a close bond with his grandparents. Whether through heartfelt words, a reassuring hug, or little notes left around the house, he constantly reminded loved ones how much they meant to him
