Born on January 17, 1953, in Boston, MA, Joe was the eldest son of John F. Savino and Sally Russo‑Gagliardi Dunham. He was known widely for his infectious energy, storyteller’s charisma, and deep devotion to family and friends.

Joe graduated from Woburn High School, where he first emerged as a natural entertainer and community figure. He began his professional journey by helping run the family’s business—Savino Oil—before branching out into entrepreneurship and entertainment. His ventures covered businesses in the heating industry and even launching community-facing radio projects.

  • Second wife Lidia (Zino) Savino, stepdaughter Jennifer Savino, and stepsons Guy Zino and Ronnie Bardah

  • Sister Jody Bardenhauer
