HARDIN COUNTY, TX — A horrific late-night crash has shattered families and stunned the community of Hardin County after four young adults lost their lives and a fifth individual was critically injured in a violent two-vehicle collision late Friday night, July 25, 2025. The tragic incident occurred on Farm-to-Market Road 92, a rural but frequently traveled stretch of road just north of Jim Burns Road.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), which is leading the investigation, confirmed that the fatal crash took place at approximately 10:55 p.m., involving a 2019 Dodge Charger and a 2022 Ford F-150 pickup truck. The Dodge Charger, carrying four passengers, reportedly crossed into the opposite lane and collided head-on with the Ford truck in a devastating impact that left both vehicles mangled.

A fifth person, a 29-year-old woman identified as the driver of the Ford pickup, was airlifted to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont in critical condition. As of Saturday evening, she remains in the intensive care unit undergoing multiple surgeries. Her name has not been publicly released at the request of the family.
