A graduate of Ball State University with a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, Colleen completed her education in just three years with a stellar 3.94 GPA and earned both departmental and writing honors. Her passion for literacy extended beyond tutoring: she interned in 2014 as a copy editor and ESL content writer, where she helped craft educational materials and mentor other writers .

Most recently, in February 2024, she held a position as Front Desk Associate at Progressive Eyecare in Indianapolis, where her friendly presence and attentive care left a positive impression on all who encountered her .
