A wave of heartbreak and fear has swept across Brampton and much of southern Ontario following the tragic death of 29-year-old Savannah Kulla, who was killed in what police describe as a domestic-related shooting on Tuesday afternoon. Authorities have identified 38-year-old Anthony Deschepper as the primary suspect in both the fatal attack and a subsequent abduction, prompting an intense, province-wide manhunt.

According to Peel Regional Police, officers responded shortly after 3:00 p.m. to reports of gunfire near a residential area in Brampton. Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman suffering from critical gunshot wounds. Despite rapid efforts by paramedics, Savannah Kulla was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators quickly identified Deschepper — believed to have been in a relationship with Kulla — as the suspected shooter.
