Aylmer Mourns the Sudden Loss of Angie McMaster, Beloved Mother and Community Member

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Angela Jean “Angie” McMaster, of Aylmer, Ontario, on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the age of 60. She was surrounded by loved ones in her final moments


👼 Cherished Roles & Family Bonds

Angie’s life was defined by her devotion to those who loved her most:

  • Beloved mother to Skyler Cowen (Wyatt).

  • Daughter of Evelyn McMaster and the late James “Budd” McMaster (passed in 2019).

  • Dear sister to Lori Henderson‑Gibbons (Gary), sharing close bonds with nephews Owen and Luke, and niece 

Her passing also deeply affected her extended circle—friends like Bruce Bulina, Holly Fisher, and Lisa Sorochan, and the community who remembered her.


🎓 Life & Career Highlights

Born on March 7, 1965, in London, Ontario, Angie spent her youth in Aylmer, participating in community activities like swimming, figure skating, and Springfield Fastball. She worked alongside family at Do‑nut Caterers during her school years.

She pursued higher education with dedication:

  • Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Guelph.

  • Diploma in Radiography from Fanshawe College.

Angie went on to serve at London Health Sciences Hospital, first as an X‑ray Technician, later advancing to CT Technician—a role she held for over 25 years before retiring


❤️ Post-Retirement Joys

In retirement, Angie continued to embrace life’s simple pleasures:

  • She joined the team at Pinecroft as a seasonal server, relishing daily interactions with customers and staff.

  • She found relaxation kayaking with friends in scenic locales like Port Bruce.

  • Those who knew her recall her “witty, sarcastic humour” paired with a gentle, quiet smile


💔 Cause of Death

At present, Angie’s cause of passing has not been publicly disclosed, and the family respectfully asks for privacy regarding the circumstances


🕊️ Services & Celebrations

In line with her wishes, a private graveside service has been held. A wider Celebration of Life is scheduled for:

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations to the Hospice of Elgin or Helping Paws Rescue in Angie’s memory
