Ayden Nicpon Obituary – Thorp Mourns Loss of 19-Year-Old Killed in Tragic July 5 Crash in Town of Delmar
May 25, 2006 – July 5, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that the tight-knit Thorp and Delmar community mourns the tragic loss of Ayden James Elvis “Ticky” Nicpon, a vibrant and beloved 19-year-old whose life was cut short in a devastating two-vehicle crash on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in the Town of Delmar. Both occupants in one of the vehicles were trapped, and Ayden was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene
Born in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, on May 25, 2006, Ayden lived a life rooted in compassion, curiosity, and boundless energy. A 2025 graduate of the Gilman School District, he embarked on the next chapter of his life filled with promise and potential. Ayden had recently begun working at Oakbrook Health & Rehab in Thorp, where his caring nature brightened the days of everyone around him—and on June 30, 2025, he accepted a position at Colby Metals in Colby, WI, eager to learn and grow
Ayden found true joy outdoors—whether it was the thrill of hunting, the serenity of fishing, or the simple act of soaking in the beauty of nature. His love for the outdoors was infectious, and many remember him smiling at the prospect of scoring a big buck or sharing a quiet moment by the lake .
Family meant everything to Ayden. Known affectionately as “Ticky,” he was a devoted son to Rhonda Blaedow, a beloved stepson to Brandon Blaedow, and a cherished brother to Victoria, Andrew, Vanessa, Vita, Chase, Anthony, Allie, and Dale. His nieces and nephews—Aden, Vanessa, Asher, Axton, Atticus, Presley Ray, Verity Lee, Kash, and the soon‑to‑arrive baby Watton—were the lights of his life, and his connection with each was heartwarming and sincere
Ayden was also a loyal grandson to Robert and Deborah Blaedow, and remembered fondly for the joy he brought to family gatherings. Though several grandparents, uncles, and cousins preceded him in passing, he carried their memory forward in the love he shared with everyone around him
Those who knew Ayden recall a young man with a quick joke, a ready smile, and a heart big enough for all. His warmth was genuine, and time spent in his company felt brighter. The GoFundMe set up by the community—raising over $8,000 in just two days—speaks volumes about the impact of his spirit .
