On Friday morning, July 4, 2025, just before 7:46 a.m., deputies were called to the farm’s parking lot following reports of a serious accident. Cindy, entering the lot on foot, was struck and trapped beneath a pickup driven by a 61-year-old female employee. First responders quickly freed her and transported her initially to Trinity Health–Muskegon, and subsequently airlifted her to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She succumbed to her injuries on Sunday, July 6, 2025
Investigators have confirmed there were no signs of impairment on the part of the driver, who did not appear to be under the influence . The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office has since referred the case to the prosecuting attorney for further review
