Amber Alert Issued for 4-Year-Old Anthony “AT” Jackson Abducted by Non-Custodial Father in Northwoods, Missouri
Northwoods, MO — July 3, 2025 — An urgent search is underway for 4-year-old Anthony Terrell Jackson, affectionately known to loved ones as “AT,” after he was abducted from his home by his non-custodial father in a deeply distressing incident that has gripped the Northwoods community. Authorities say the child was taken at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, from his mother’s residence on the 7000 block of Winchester Drive in Northwoods, a municipality within St. Louis County.
According to the City of Northwoods Police Department, the suspect — identified as 32-year-old Terrell Lamont Jackson — is the biological father of Anthony, but does not have legal custody or visitation rights. Witnesses say Jackson arrived unannounced at the residence and became increasingly aggressive during a confrontation with the child’s mother. Without warning, he grabbed Anthony and fled the scene before law enforcement could arrive.
Investigators say Jackson forcibly removed the child without consent and is believed to be traveling in a 2012 silver Dodge Charger with Missouri license plate “X5T-Y4R.” Surveillance footage from a nearby home captured the vehicle speeding away from the neighborhood moments after the abduction. Authorities believe Jackson may be headed out of state and are working with regional and federal agencies to expand the search.
Anthony is described as a Black male child, 3 feet 5 inches tall, with short curly hair and brown eyes. At the time of his abduction, he was wearing a red Spider-Man T-shirt, denim shorts, and blue Crocs. He is said to be very friendly and talkative but may be frightened due to the traumatic circumstances of his abduction.
Terrell Jackson is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 190 pounds, with a shaved head and tattoos on both arms. He has a history of domestic violence and has had multiple run-ins with law enforcement in recent years. Authorities caution that he may be armed and should not be approached by members of the public.
The FBI and the Missouri State Highway Patrol have both been notified, and an AMBER Alert was officially issued late Wednesday evening. Law enforcement is urging anyone who sees Jackson or the child, or who may have information about their whereabouts, to immediately call 911 or contact the Northwoods Police Department at (314) 385-1562.
In an emotional press conference Thursday morning, Northwoods Police Chief Evelyn Bryant stated, “Our top priority is bringing Anthony home safely. We are throwing every available resource into this investigation and are asking the public to be vigilant. This child deserves to be reunited with his mother, and we will not rest until he is found.”
As the community rallies together to support the family and aid the investigation, vigils and prayer circles are already being organized in the neighborhood, with friends and family members clinging to hope that young Anthony will be located unharmed.
